All activities are carried out in an environment of academic freedom and equal opportunities, with full respect for academic ethics, democratic dialogue, inclusivity, and diversity. In serving its mission, the University of the Peloponnese aspires to transmit existing knowledge through teaching and produce new knowledge through research activities. The institution seeks to develop its relations with the local community, to contribute to addressing the social, cultural, and development needs of the region, and to be a driving force for its growth by disseminating scientific knowledge. At the same time, it has placed internationalization among its priorities, consistently building its European and international profile through research work. The University of Peloponnese operates 10 schools and 22 departments spread across 6 cities in the region.
